Energy-efficient Refrigeration Technology (English / German)

In Germany more than 120 millions of refrigerating systems are installed. The energy demand of refrigeration and air conditioning systems is about 14 % (77,000 GWh/a, basis 1999) of the total German energy demand. The outcome of this is 43.9 million tons of CO2 emissions.

The manufacturers of refrigerating systems, components and accessories attach great importance to the energy efficiency of their products. The reduction of the energy consumption poses a great challenge for refrigerating and air conditioning technology.
